Self build design discussions on Fix Radio with Mark Millar
Following Julian’s recent radio interview, Mark and his team invited Julian to come down to London for a more in depth talk about how to carry out a self build project. After their last call-in it was great to meet Mark to explore the topic on his show, which will be released this Sunday on Fix Radio.
As well as discussing the trials, tribulations and triumph that come with self building, they also discussed guidance given in Julian’s book Self Build: Design and Build Your Own Home, which is a great start point for someone considering designing and building their dream home. This book is designed for homeowners and self-builders, whether aspiring or on the brink of starting a project. It provides a jargon-free, step-by-step guide to the process of designing and building your own home, distilling all of the practical information needed to make your dream house a reality.
In the interview they also briefly discussed Julian’s vast experience with bespoke homes, having founded The Associated self build Architects which is a national network of RIBA accredited local architects across the country who specialise in helping people design their homes from scratch.
