Getting into Basements on Fix Radio with Mark Millar

Listen out this Sunday for Julian’s interview with Mark Millar on the show Building Ideas hosted by Fix Radio. On this show Mark, best known for his work on DIY SOS, discusses all things development with various industry experts and he has invited Julian to discuss issues raised when including a basement in your upcoming building scheme.

In this interview they will be covering planning and building regulations consideration when adding or extending a basement in an existing home. They will also be looking at whether you should include a basement in your self build, or if that will cause more trouble than it is worth. Julian and Mark will also speak about Julian’s book Home Extension Design.

It will be really interesting to hear the discussion as Julian has a lot of experience in designing basements and guiding our clients through their projects, as well as founding the Associated Self Build Architects (ASBA), a national network of local RIAS and RIBA registered Architects with a specialty in self builds.
