Last weekend Julian was among the invited guests featured in Fix Radio’s Building Ideas Show, this time discussing issues facing the construction industry that are brought about by a lack or creativity and good application ideas.
In their conversation they cover what good domestic design is really about. They discuss the design of new build housing stock in the UK and the lack of interesting design
They also discuss the development of the planning system and how the current system limits collaborative and courageous design between the councils and architects/builder. They also discuss the opportunities for working together with small developers and local builders to help achieve the governments current targets for new housing, rather than going with large development companies who don’t value variety and creativity.
