Domestic Extensions - Two storey extension to left hand side of semi-detached house, Chilwell, Nottingham.

This gable fronted two storey extension significantly increases the accommodation of a semi-detached property in Chilwell. As this dwelling is on a cul-de-sac the side boundary is on a splay to the main house and the side of the new extension steps out accordingly to take full advantage of the available space. At ground floor the extension provides a new garage (with integral workshop) and a large ‘L’ shaped kitchen. The first floor extension is located towards the rear of the property, where the plot is at its widest, and provides a new master bedroom (with a Juliet balcony overlooking the rear garden) and ensuite bathroom. A 3D computer model of the proposal, worked during the initial design stages, helped to give a good idea of what the finished scheme would look like.
