The massing of this scheme has been very carefully distributed in order to obtain planning approval for a substantial amount of accommodation and parking on a site surrounded on three sides by existing dwellings. The majority of the accommodation is provided in a central block, set back at the front and furthest away from the existing boundaries. This is joined on one side to a 1 ½ storey block where the roof steps down to relate to an adjacent bungalow. It is flanked on the opposite side by a detached 2 ½ storey block that is also designed to reflect the scale and proportion of the neighbouring dwelling. The scheme makes full use of the roof spaces and provides a secluded shared amenity space to the rear.
